Elements by Artesa is a portfolio of red wines that combine winemaking passion with the flavors and characteristics of multiple varietals. These wines are grown in select vineyards across the prime wine regions of Napa Valley and Sonoma County.

Owned by the Raventós family of the Spanish winemaking dynasty Codorníu, and driven by the family’s commitment to winemaking excellence, Elements is the natural outcome of the years Artesa has spent identifying the specific microclimates that produce world-class wine grapes. This effort has led to vineyards in a diverse group of Napa’s and Sonoma’s most highly regarded sub-appellations including Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, Atlas Peak, Oak Knoll, Oakville and Carneros.

Whether it’s lush, forward fruit; a tinge of earthy richness; or a dash of wild herb or spice, each appellation, vineyard and varietal contributes to the layers of aroma and flavor that sets Elements apart. Shaped first by nature, then forged by the winemaker’s blending choices, Elements wines are multi-faceted and complex, a testament to what can happen when many become one.

In 1995, Don Roberto, Jr. and his two sons launched Tequila Don Roberto in homage to the art of good tequila. In parallel to that, Casa Don Roberto established La Purisima, the largest tequila factory in the world.

Far beyond having almost 200 years of experience, Don Roberto Tequila owes its essence and characteristic flavor to the quality of the product and the process by which it is produced.

On those special occasions when Don Roberto would share his tequila (his most prized creation) with family and friends, it was always served straight in order for guests to truly experience the quality of the tequila. He would ask that they first smell the aroma, then take a sip and let the tequila linger on their tongues in order to capture and savor its unique flavor before allowing it to glide down their throats. For many years, these wonderful tequilas were enjoyed by just a few, until now…

Fifteen hundred feet up Oak Mountain, Cabernet Sauvignon vines hug the sides of a track so steep and sharply curved that the vineyard manager’s four-wheel drive groans with each shift of gears. The early morning air is cool and clear, affording stunning views of neighboring ridges to the west and of the Russian River, coiled ribbon-like on the quilt of the valley below.

This is Standing Bear vineyard on Ridgeline’s remote 409-acre property in the prestigious Alexander Valley appellation of California’s Sonoma County. Named for a 30-foot granite outcropping that resembles a grizzly bear, the 11-acre parcel is one of seven vineyards producing Bordeaux grapes that translate into superbly structured Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wines. That these wines express so discernibly the character of their place of origin is due to meticulous planning and vigilant caretaking in the service of our guiding philosophy. Every great wine starts in the soil.

Set high into the hilltop with panoramic views of Napa Valley, San Francisco Bay and its own estate vineyards, it’s easy to see why Artesa is called the Jewel of Carneros.

Perhaps no other winery captures the multi-faceted beauty of this windswept, world-famous appellation as dramatically as the Artesa estate, where the fusion of architecture, artistry and winegrowing reaches soaring heights.

Owned by the Raventós family of Spain, whose winemaking history dates to the mid-sixteenth century, the winery takes its name from the Catalan word for “handcrafted.” Today, Artesa focuses on producing small, ultra-premium lots of the varietals for which the Carneros and the Napa Valley are best known – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
