Elements by Artesa is a portfolio of red wines that combine winemaking passion with the flavors and characteristics of multiple varietals. These wines are grown in select vineyards across the prime wine regions of Napa Valley and Sonoma County.

Owned by the Raventós family of the Spanish winemaking dynasty Codorníu, and driven by the family’s commitment to winemaking excellence, Elements is the natural outcome of the years Artesa has spent identifying the specific microclimates that produce world-class wine grapes. This effort has led to vineyards in a diverse group of Napa’s and Sonoma’s most highly regarded sub-appellations including Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, Atlas Peak, Oak Knoll, Oakville and Carneros.

Whether it’s lush, forward fruit; a tinge of earthy richness; or a dash of wild herb or spice, each appellation, vineyard and varietal contributes to the layers of aroma and flavor that sets Elements apart. Shaped first by nature, then forged by the winemaker’s blending choices, Elements wines are multi-faceted and complex, a testament to what can happen when many become one.

Recognized as Spain’s preeminent wine estate, Raimat champions innovation, sustainability and precision agriculture in its wines from the new and exciting Costers del Segre region. The symbol of Raimat is the symbol of the vine (Raïm, in the Catalan language) and the hand (má).

An age-old legend speaks of a cave high in the Andes mountains and of an ancient city named Marraso, which was protected by the spirit of an ancient horse, whose image was painted on the wall of the cave. The people of the city named the image El Caballo Antiguo, the ancient horse, and believed the symbol had mystical properties.

No sign of either the legendary cave or the city has ever been found, but the fruit of the vineyards, planted in the shadow of Los Andes, is said to contain the spirit of El Caballo Antiguo and produce amazing flavors that make this wine unique. 

Codorníu has been regarded as a world leader in prestige sparkling wine since 1872 when Josep Raventós, great grandfather to the present generation of family owners, introduced the Traditional Method in Spain, creating a wine that is known today as cava.

One of Spain’s first wine families, Codorníu has for more than 450 years produced some of the country’s finest wines. Codorníu owes its leadership position to an unrelenting focus on innovation and quality.
The winery enjoys a storied past. A royal supplier to the Spanish Crown since 1897, Codorníu’s unique winery and aging cellars are a protected Historical Artistic Monument.

By using at-that-time unconventional winemaking techniques, Devil’s Rock became the first off-dry Riesling with international appeal. This modern style of wine has quickly grasped the hearts of wine lovers all over the world, making it one of the best-selling German Rieslings.

In 1840, the Orendain family from Spain established the first Tequila factory in Jalisco. Having worked for his uncles, Don Roberto Orendain founded his own distillery in 1924 called “Casa Don Roberto.”

In 1995, Don Roberto, Jr. and his two sons launched Tequila Don Roberto in homage to the art of good tequila. In parallel to that, Casa Don Roberto established La Purisima, the largest tequila factory in the world.

Far beyond having almost 200 years of experience, Don Roberto Tequila owes its essence and characteristic flavor to the quality of the product and the process by which it is produced.

On those special occasions when Don Roberto would share his tequila (his most prized creation) with family and friends, it was always served straight in order for guests to truly experience the quality of the tequila. He would ask that they first smell the aroma, then take a sip and let the tequila linger on their tongues in order to capture and savor its unique flavor before allowing it to glide down their throats. For many years, these wonderful tequilas were enjoyed by just a few, until now…

Durbanville began as an outspan area named Pampoenkraal that became a meeting place for early travelers, transport riders and local farmers. In time, a small village developed. It was renamed D’Urban after Sir Benjamin D’Urban in 1838, and Durbanville in 1886.

Durbanville Hills winery draws its grapes from a group of neighboring historic farms, mostly established at the turn of the 17th and 18th Centuries.

These include Bloemendal, allocated as a freehold farm in 1698 to an early Dutch settler at the Cape. Most of the other farms involved were allocated as freehold farms during the early 1700s, including Maastricht in 1702, Hooggelegen in 1703 and Ongegund in 1704.
