Clos LaChance Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay
The rugged topography of the Santa Cruz Mountains limits the size of individual vineyards. In 1996, to ensure a continuing supply of high-quality fruit, Clos LaChance's owners established CK Vines, a vineyard maintenance and installation company specializing in "backyard" vineyard development. Elevations, soils and microclimates vary, which helps keep the final blend consistent. Aromas of butterscotch, pineapples, bananas and coconut. Hints of lemon rind, vanilla and a bit of spice.
