This brand takes its name from the two great oceans that converge at the Cape, the Indian and the Atlantic.

The Cape’s Coastal region enjoys a temperate climate, cooled by daytime maritime breezes from both oceans and a drop in nighttime temperatures to allow grapes to ripen slowly. In addition, the moderate humidity means vines are far less prone to disease than in areas with higher moisture levels.

Two Oceans is positioned as a driving brand in the Distell stable. It is targeted to be the top South African brand in the international premium quality segment. The wines have been styled to suit the taste of today’s consumer with an emphasis on accessibility and everyday drinking. The hallmark characteristics of the varietals are paramount, with concentrated fruit aromas on the nose and lively, mouth-filling flavors. The emphasis across the board is clean, fresh, ripe fruit.

Wines

NEW! Two Oceans Moscato

This light, delicately fruity wine is made from a blend of Chenin blanc, Colombar and Muscat grapes. Lower in alcohol by at least one quarter than a normal white table wine, it is well–suited to those with a health–conscious food focus.


NEW! Two Oceans Pinot Grigio

Brilliantly clear with flecks of green it's very appetising to look at and even more so to drink. Subtly perfumed with floral notes and fragrances of dried apricot and peach and a hint of litchi, its crisp, zesty and easy-drinking. Very compatible with Asian-inspired slightly spicy dishes, light salads, cold meat, pizzas, pastas and grilled seafood.


Two Oceans Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Ruby red, beautifully soft and easy-drinking, its lovely ripe plum and red fruit flavours almost jump out of the glass. A great match with red meats like roast lamb, stews, grilled meat, carpaccio and kidneys.


Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc

Upfront tropical fruit on the nose with a hint of green fig and fresh-cut grass, it's crisp, fresh and elegant. Pick up juicy, tangy gooseberry on the very thirst-quenching flavour. Beautiful with grilled seafood, bouillabaisse, pasta and poultry dishes.


Two Oceans Chardonnay

This medium-bodied wine is straw-yellow in colour with an excellent balance between summer fruit, sweetness and acid, rounded off with well-integrated oak. Enjoy lightly chilled. Excellent paired with pasta, poultry and fish dishes served with creamy sauces.


Two Oceans Shiraz

Dark red with purple edges, it grand colours make you think of royal regalia. You'll pick up vibrant cherry and plum characters and a slightly smoky note too. Rich and ripe berry flavours meet a sprinkling of pepper. Brilliant served with grilled lamb chops, ribs, succulent steaks and flavourful pasta dishes.


Two Oceans Cabernet

Medium-bodied, blackberries & cigar box flavors with a gentle gripping mid palate. Pair with roast beef, spaghetti bolognaise and fillet steak.


Two Oceans Merlot

Medium-bodied, chocolate and black berries, with a round smooth finish. Serve with lamb shank, grilled Mediterranean vegetables and soft cheeses.
