    A blend of Garnacha Tinta and Cariñena from vines on steep hillsides aged up to 60 years old, the grapes are hand-harvested. Aromas of tilled soil with violets is inviting and deep. On the palate, the minerality joins the bittersweet plum skin notes and spiced cranberry. Lush, filled with sunshine and earth, its round body adheres to a boysenberry ripeness.

    Appearance: Violet-tinged ruby color

    Aroma & Flavor: Aromas of ripe black fruits. Plum plus a touch of violet intermingle with distinct mineral notes and spicy aromas such as vanilla, pepper and toasty notes.


    Alcohol: 15%

    Barrel Type: Aged 18 months in a mix of new and old French and American oak depending on what is called for by each varietal.

    This wine is made from grapes selected from the top vineyard plots. A very deep, dense cherry red with violet hues. The intense aromas of ripe black fruits, plum and a touch of violet intermingle with distinct mineral notes which give it its distinct Priorat typicity. Its aging in barrels gives it spicy vanilla and pepper aromas. On the palate, it is robust, buttery and supple with intense mature tannins, a rounded body and a long lingering finish.

    Tasting Notes

    A dense cherry red with violet hues. Intense lingering aromas of ripe black fruits and plums with a floral hint of violet, combine with prominent mineral notes from the licorella slate terroir to give the wine its distinct Priorat typicity. It also has spicy notes which come from its aging in oak. On the palate it is robust, buttery, and supple with intense mature tannins. A fully rounded body ends with a long lingering finish.
